NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES ENTRY REQUIREMENT

II.       SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT STUDIES

Five credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent in Mathematics and English Language, plus three credit passes in any of Economics, Business Methods, Principles of Account, Literature in English, Commerce, Government and one Science subject in not more than two sittings. Office Technology & Management requires a pass in Mathematics.

III.    SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION ARTS

  Five credit passes in English Language, Literature in English, Mathematics and any three other subject from History, Literature in English, Commerce, Economics, Government, Fine Arts, Type Writing and Principles of Accounting.

IV.       SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

  Five credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent which must include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and at least a pass in English Language obtained in nit more than two sittings.     ORThe National Technical Certificate (NTC) in electrical trade with credit passes in Mathematics, Physics, English Language and two other subject. Civil Engineering Technology requires five credit passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and one other Science subject from Biology / Agric Science, Geography, Economics, Commerce.

V.    SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

METHOD OF APPLICATION1.      Candidates should visit the School official website http://www.akwaibompoly.edu.ng , click on the link online Application, 2.      Then generate an invoice with the following details

3.      Candidates should proceed to First Bank with their invoice to purchase an electronic application pin for ₦7000.00 (All charges are inclusive). 4.      Application should therefore be completed by visiting http://www.akwaibompoly.edu.ng with the obtained pin to complete the application form not later than Wednesday, 20th September, 2017. 5.     All applications MUST be concluded on or before Wednesday, 20th September 2017. Applicants can start and complete this process anywhere in the country. All shortlisted students will be published online and undergo a screening exercise on Saturday, 23rd September, 2017 REQUIREMENT FOR SCREENING EXERCISE:
     Accreditation of candidates for the exercise commences at 8:30am
     Screening exercise will commence by 9:00am
     Candidates should come with:  i,  The acknowledgement slip.  ii,  Photocopies of JAMB slip showing their photographs. iii,  JAMB online result, two(2) copies

RSUST Postgraduate Admission 2017/2018


Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into postgraduate programmes in the Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt for the 2017/2018 academic session.

MODE OF APPLICATION

Applications for admission to any postgraduate programme shall be made on-line by logging onto www.ust.edu.ng and making an e-payment of thirty thousand naira (N30,000.00) only, using interswitch verve - enabled cards. Application forms should be completed on-line, downloaded and hard copies submitted to the Secretary, Postgraduate School along with the following:
i) Photocopies of Certificates
ii) Certified academic transcripts, attached to the identification forms to be downloaded from the University’s website. It is the responsibility of applicants to ensure that copies of their academic transcripts are forwarded under confidential cover directly to The Secretary, Postgraduate School, Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt.
iii) Letters of reference from three referees (including one from the academic institution last attended) stating that the applicant is qualified to undertake advanced studies
and research and that the referee is confident that the applicant will benefit from the training.
For PhD applicants, brief research proposals on their intended areas of study should also accompany the application forms.

Application Deadline
The deadline for submission of application forms on-line and at the Postgraduate School is August 10th, 2017. 

AAUA Pre-degree Admission 2017/2018

 Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission to Pre-Degree Programmes of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) for the 2017/2018 Academic Session.

The Pre-degree programme last for one academic session. Each candidate who successfully completes the programme after adequate counseling will choose from the degree programmes listed hereunder. Placements would however depend on performance and available spaces.


Candidates must also take the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to be eligible for consideration for admission to the University and must obtain a minimum pass mark as may be agreed upon by the University and the JAMB.

ARTS EDUCATION: Adult Education, English Education, History Education, Religious Studies Education, and Yoruba Education.

SOCIAL SCIENCE: Geography & Planning Science, Applied Psychology.

SOCIAL SCIENCE EDUCATION: Geography Education, Social Studies Education, Accounting Education, Early Childhood Education, Guidance and Counseling, Economics Education, Political Science Education, and Educational Management.

AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE: Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension & Rural Development, Animal Science, Forestry & Wildlife Management, Agronomy and Fisheries & Aquaculture.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

ARTS AND PRE-DEGREE ARTS EDUCATION

A minimum of 5 Credit passes at SSCE (NECO or WAEC) obtained at not more than two sittings. These must include English Language, Yoruba, Religious Studies, History /Government. (A Credit pass in Literature in English will be required for English Education)

DEPARTMENT OF LINGUISTICS AND LANGUAGES
The five Credit passes must include English Language and Yoruba (for B.A. Yoruba) or any language (for B.A. Linguistics).

DEPARTMENT OF RELIGION AND AFRICAN CULTURE
The five Credit passes must include any of the following:

CRK, IRK, Arabic, Government, Nigerian Languages and two subjects from either Arts or Social Sciences.

PRE-DEGREE SCIENCE & PRE-DEGREE SCIENCE EDUCATION
A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO or WAEC) obtained at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

SOCIAL SCIENCE
A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO or WAEC) obtained at not more than two sittings. These must include Mathematics, English Language and three other Social Science subjects. Those willing to study GEOGRAPHY AND PLANNING SCIENCE must have Credit in Geography in addition to two other subjects. Those willing to study APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY must have Credit in Biology.

SOCIAL SCIENCE EDUCATION
A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO or WAEC) obtained at not more than two sittings. These must include Mathematics, English Language and three other Social Science subjects. Those willing to study GEOGRAPHY EDUCATION must have Credit in Geography in addition to two other subjects. A pass in Mathematics is acceptable for Social Studies Education.

AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE
A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO or WAEC) obtained at not more than two sittings. These must include Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science and Physics.

NOTE: (a) Credit pass in Economics is required for Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Extension and Rural Development with at least a pass in Physics, (b) Credit pass in Agric Science is required for Agronomy, Fisheries, Animal Science, Forestry and Wildlife Management with at least a pass in Biology.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
(a) Admission into 100 level from Pre-degree is not automatic.

(b) Pre-degree candidates are required to take the 2017 UTME and obtain the minimum pass mark of UTME for Universities, and as agreed upon by the University.

(c) Admission of candidates will be dependent on their Weighted Average in the two semesters, the UTME score and their ranking with respect to the cut-off marks for the chosen courses.

(d) Any candidate who did not satisfy all the above conditions and still goes on to pay school fees into the university’s Account would forfeit such fund.

MODE OF APPLICATION

Candidates are to pay the sum of Eleven Thousand Naira (N11,000.00) only (inclusive of bank commission/charges) using e-Tranzact platform at any branch of the banks listed below:
-Skye Bank Plc., Access Bank Plc, First Bank Plc, Heritage Bank Plc, Keystone Bank, Wema Bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc, Stanbic /IBTC Bank.
Complete a bank deposit teller indicating full Name and proposed Faculty of candidates.
Candidates are to indicate as Account Number- 2016/2017 AAUA Pre-degree Application Form.
Obtain the e-Tranzact payment receipt at the point of payment which will contain receipt number and confirmation code.


REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

(i) Candidates are requested to log on to the University websi
te and click on 2017/2018 AAUA Pre-degree Application.

(ii) On the Pre-degree Application page, click on Application payment confirmation and supply e-Tranzact receipt and confirmation order number obtained from the bank to confirm your payment.

(iii) Once your confirmation is successful, log in with your receipt number.

(iv) Fill the Application form appropriately, submit online and immediately print-out an acknowledgement slip.

(v) Candidates are to come to the Examination Hall with the acknowledgement slip.

SCREENING DATE

Entrance Examination will be conducted on Wednesday, 20th September, 2017 for Pre-degree Agricultural Science, Science and Science Education and on Thursday, 21st September, 2017 for Pre-degree Arts, Arts Education, Social Science and Social Science Education candidates at the University premises by 10.00a.m. each day.

CLOSING DATE
Candidates are to register online on the University website between 12th June, 2017 and 16th September, 2017.
